Where your money goes
Your gift keeps someone in your corner past the first night — through the weeks it takes to stabilize and the months it takes to heal.
Give funds or give goods — both help people rebuild. Choose what works for you.

Donate moneyGive items instead
Have clothing, household items, or supplies to give? Check the wish list, then schedule a drop-off and we’ll take it from there.
Donate itemsWhy unrestricted gifts matter
Unrestricted gifts cover what grants won’t — staff hours, a late-night ride, a locksmith. That’s usually what makes the difference.
What it’s holding up
We came through a 73% cut in federal funding across two grant cycles. We kept the occupational therapy program and added a licensed mental health provider anyway.
We’re working toward half our revenue coming from people here, rather than from Washington, by 2029. That’s what your gift is buying: a service that doesn’t disappear when a grant does.
What your gift does
- Reaches people in rural communities
- Teaches prevention in schools and on campuses
- Keeps advocates on staff
- Pays for healing that lasts past the crisis
Wish List & Item Donations
What we need right now
People arrive here with a bag, or with nothing. This is the stuff that gets used the week it comes in.
Shop the list
Before you drop off
Schedule your drop-off before you come. You’ll list what you’re bringing and pick a time.
We can’t accept used car seats, toys, stuffed animals, opened hygiene products, or anything broken or expired.
Other places to donate
If we can’t take it, these might: the Clothing Closet, the Contact Center, Habitat for Humanity, Heartland Humane Society, Pathways, WRAP, Zoe Care.
Be there for one call
A Guardian Angel makes one promise: if we call, you give $100 within five days.
We might never call. When we do, it’s because something urgent came up that no grant covers — a night in a motel, a locksmith, a tank of gas, a car repair that decides whether someone keeps their job.
The commitment
One call at most. $100. Five days to give it. That’s it.

Some of it is sorting donations. Some of it is sitting with someone at 2am. We’ll be honest with you about which is which.

Questions
Join the Board
The board sets direction, watches the money, and backs the staff. It meets regularly and it does real work.
We’re a small organization in a small town, coming out of a hard funding stretch and building something bigger. If you’ve got fundraising, finance, law, healthcare, or rural community experience — or you’ve simply lived here a long time and know people — we’d like to talk.
Board members give at a level that’s meaningful to them. You won’t fundraise alone — the job is to open doors, share the story, and invite others in.
